I love the textures of fabrics, adore silk dyes, and am amazed by the way silk and dye communicate with each other. But I work with textiles most of the time, and find that sometimes I do miss painting with watercolors… Recently, I started to play with this amazing medium again! While it is taking time to get a feel for it, I’m proud of myself for coming back to this medium and developing my skills.

Recently I bought a field easel for en plein air painting.
Watercolor in the outdoors is exciting and refreshing, even if it’s just a quick trip to the local park. It is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind and opening yourself up to an outside world. I promised myself to find a way to be creative even during the busiest times of the year, so this has become my source of spontaneous inspiration.
