Inspired by the simple elegance of autumn, this white cotton wedding dress was hand painted three years ago for an October wedding in Shenandoah National Park. My client was a future organic farmer with a love for flowers, dragonflies, and butterflies. On the bottom of the dress, I painted a floral garden in early fall season, adding many flying creatures to the scene as well. I primarily used shades of purple, green, red and golden orange to reflect this time of transition and new beginnings in between summer and winter.
